Special Notes: I do not know or care if same-sex marriage is okay. And frankly, I’m not even sure if marriage between anyone is okay. I’m only pointing out that reality trumps fantasy. Tell me this doesn’t sound like a Game of Thrones episode.
GAME OF INDECISIONS
Episode 1
In the Iron Kingdom of Arkansas a lowly Lord County Judge strikes into the heart of the kingdom and over-rules the Royal Arkansas Supreme Court ban on same-sex marriage, mainly because he won the bid for the extra size gavel off Ebkay against his Highness the Chief Justice. Chief Justice is depressed because he got the tiny gavel and has been heard plotting with Amazum to overthrow Ebkay.
Meanwhile in the Glorious Empire of Idaho the Night Watch federal appeals court strikes deep into the heartland to halt same-sex marriage the Holy U.S. Judge already declared unconstitutional. The Night Watch’s battle cry of ‘damn the constitution, full steam ahead’ rings out over the land.
Not to be outdone, back in the Iron Kingdom the Grey Kings Slayer attorney general challenges the lowly Lord County Judge and minstrels sing their challenge out for all to hear. ‘Is too constitutional… is not… is too… is not… is too… is not…
The lowly Lord County Judge is later heard saying… ‘lalalalalalalala I can’t hear you…’
Meanwhile, in the Land of Oz, San Francisco Provence, somewhere along the yellow brick road the tin man circuit court over-rules everyone saying married people must wear fedoras and everything is unconstitutional and then adjourned for a café latte.
His Imperial Holy Majesty Emperor Somebody said, ‘Dragons are coming.. wait for it..’ Someone in New Orleans thought that meant them and threw a parade. Booby beads are being passed out.

Love the image and commentary. Like you, I really don't care one way or another. It just seems like a tempest in a tea pot as with so many other issues that come before the courts. Look at the "Under God" controversy same wrangling.
Wonderful work I like your version better - it makes more sense
love that hat.
As with you, I think perhaps the institution of marriage is highly overrated and totally outdated! The only reason I can think marriage stands is because of the legality of taxes, medical benefits, other benefits and blah blah blah! I believe what needs to be done is set up a system where if two people, regardless of sex, race creed or whatever want to share their lives together, they make their intentions public and from that day forward they are one in the eyes of the law! Amen! I love the way you have worded this descriptive! It is music to my ears! You have nailed the problem squarely on the head and my hat is totally off to you!!!!!
Nice artwork and words.... I'm with Radar on this topic....
Love the image. People are who they are, let them live as they want!!!! xx
Idk, I just imagine a world where same gender marriages is the norm and heteros are looked down upon and told that it is illegal to be togehter! Another case of numbers rule I guess! Live and let live!!!!
Fantastic setting and character, love the story. I don't know about the Game of Thrones, don't watch it, but it does sound like the US, names changed to protect the criminals and innocents, as for as same sex couples, it doesn't bother me, if two people love each other they should be allowed to get married, I wonder how this would work under Common Law Marriages, which many states have, ie, if a man and woman lives together for lets say five years they are married, it doesn't mention having sex, just living together, thus, two men or two women living together for the same amount of time are then married by many state laws.
The whole Arkansas thing is certainly confusing! We were just there a few weeks ago, and Bill ordered a margarita with his meal in a nice Mexican restaurant. Nope! They didn't serve alcohol. It was a dry county. !!
Brilliant! If two people want to get married, that's their business. Male/Female pairings don't seem to be all that successful from what I've seen so why not let the same gender couples have a go of it. My brother-in-law was finally able to marry his partner of 22 years in January. They have outlasted three of his brothers' marriages almost combined!
