Oh, this is so cute, Andrea. I thought in the first place too, that is was a real flower, which you gave by post work some structure. You bring a big smile on my face, and I think it's a fantastic shot. So beautiful you utilized the right time. Yesterday I took several pictures of this butterfly (yes, another, her sister, or something like that, but family :D). She sat on a Bergenia flower.
This brought a smile to my face also. It reminded me of a time my grandmother enter an aviary in the San Diego Zoo when she was wearing a colorful flower printed shirt. A hummingbird came zipping right up to her and hovered in front of her flower shirt while it figured out they were not real flowers. I wish I had a photo of that, but i was too young to own a camera then.
Lovely capture. Very funny
Aweeee, lovely here today, blooming flies about!!!
this is priceless, love it
So Lovely Andrea
Hehehe!!! Should have gone to Specsavers :)
haha, fun !
The spectacles it is wearing obviously do not work!! Excellent shot.
LOL! No wonder it got fooled. A beautiful fake flower it is :-)))))
Brilliant photo!!! Well captured!
No wonder he was fooled, it must have looked like heaven if its just woke up from hibernation! Great shot Andrea! I hope you have a few seedling showing by now, this warm spell has everything fooled!
Great capture thanks for the smile
Very nice capture, around here they seem to be attracted to the bright white frames of the double glazing on hot sunny days, they sometimes converge in small numbers. I'm sure this one eventually found a real flower to settle on.
What a beauty! Great image. :)
A sterling capture of a very amusing (to us) and embarrassing (to the butterfly) event, A.
What a spectacular catch! I can almost see the question mark over its head.
wow, it fooled me too!!
I'm sure It was soon off to those camellias of yours.
Yes, I was laughing too, as I too thought the flower was real, with a bit of postwork! good thing I read your notes! I was really surprised that it was NOT a real flower, as was the beautiful Inachis io
Well i was fooled as well. Amazing capture and post work Andrea. God bless.
I really thought this was some of your postwork at first, but then I saw it was a butterfly on printed fabric. Terrific 'moment' of capture, and the contrast of the deep saturated red-browns of the butterfly with those open, flat whites, grays and pinks (etc) of the flower make such a fine visual impact. I love how you framed it too---giving those blue-ish leaves on the left, with all that purple around it. A wonderful juxtaposition. I love it. And the butterfly is a real beauty too. (You think it's thinking, "Is this all-cotton? Is there some rayon in there? 10%, just 10%...") A beauty.
very nice shot.
A beautiful European Peacock Butterfly and a beautiful flower pattern to fool the butterfly - like both versions!
