Is this the fungus used in Chinese dishes such as hot and sour soup? It looks much like what I have seen sold in Asian markets. Nice job photographing this jewel. :)
It looks quite sinister from this angle with occult blood colouring. A bit bat like as well with a skin folded and roosting pose. Great find and capture!
what a specimen beautifully portrayed
beautiful
They are very intriguing specimens great shot here my friend.
Great detail in this super shot Andrea.

What a cool fungi this is. Nicely done my friend.
Wonderful view of this; love that texture!
Amazing capture Andrea. God bless.
Another lovely capture of this odd fungus :-)
Excellent detail on this very interesting fungus. Like most of us the level of attraction often depends upon the lighting. My favorite is still the image on flickr.
Love the colour!!
Wonderful shot! :)
Excellent capture of this, the texture is fascinating, I heard they don't taste all that significant but are indeed used in some recipe's for their texture alone... I would give it a miss... I wouldn't mess with it.
stunning
Sterling macro of what appears to be a purplish velvet covered bloom of some arcane sort, A.
Another fine shot of this!! :o)
absolutely amazing fungus!
I like the backlit version because of the beautiful color but this version has a deep rich color of it's own!
