Description
Another shot from the other day surveying the floods. I thought a panorama was needed. I've only just got the stitching up done. The final image was 27,000 pixels long! I had to reduce it to 4,000 to get it within limits for uploading. The mono conversion also helped get the file size down. I hope its details are still visible?
The power station on the right is "West Burton" by name. I worked there for 23 years. Just off camera shot to the left is another "Cottam". The River Trent valley has many power station giving rise to the "Megawatt valley" tag.

A fine panorama that merges the soft romantic look of a pastoral landscape with the hard reality of industrialization. It's always challenging to reduce a panorama to under 500kb, but you've done a great job here...
