Description
More homeowner's neglect, captured 2/1/14, early morning, somewhere around the neighborhood.
Actually, if it wasn't for this kind of subject matter, photography wouldn't be this much fun.

Looks like it is almost too late for this poor fence, Harry.
fine example of rusty nail and rotten wood, very nice textures!
wow this fence needs work on. cool shot
Not much there in the way of defense from anything, it would seem; a strong wind could take that fence down. Still, it does make great photo fodder, Harry, and luckily we have you on the lookout for these things down in the SoCal area! Excellent work!
OMG!!! amazed it's still standing! great POV! (photographing other pretty things can also be fun fun ... ? ;-))
well seen decay and textures
Is that a glimpse of grass I see behind there? It sets off the pale fence well.
One should paint the fence, otherwise it falls down soon. Great shot, fantastic textures and details.
Very cool shot friend, excellently done!
Its needs a lot of TLC
A wowser. Love it! Your angle and pov makes this a slap-in-the-face abstract, along with being a real capture of fence-cacophony. It's like rows of fence-shelves, jutting out and shooting towards the corner. And all that breaking-out wood underneath, with the paint all separated: It almost hovers over the wood, with enough room underneath to store your taxes and a few magazines. The exposed wood in the lower left is just grand---with all that red paint lingering (and so vivid for under-paint!). And the nails in that section: Bada-bing, bada-boom! Great accents. And there's a piece of metal underneath that patch---another wild juxtaposition in this composition. And as for the grass in the background, I agree with Andrea; and it has patches of red, as if it's harmonizing with the red on the wood. I don't know if wind could take this down, but it sure had its way with the surface! Actually this fence has reached that point that things reach when they've weathered so much, they just don't give a damned anymore, and they stick it out through hurricanes, tsunamis, you name it---like those guys who accidentally get nails in their palms and just pull them out and keep-on hammering? This fence is like those guys. It ain't movin' for NO body. Like Denise says, lucky we have you on the lookout for things like this! Great seeing, you're eye's acutely alive; and a party of a capture to boot.
