This is a glass-fronted curio cabinet with a mirror on the back wall, and at this point even I can't tell you what's real and what's a reflection, even though I was standing right there! I liked the way the bright sunlight interacted with the mirrors and glass, and the non-linear feeling this has. (A different sort of liminal space, I suppose.)
I've been working on a big project out here in the "real world," and haven't been on the computer much the past few days. When I'm done, I'll show you before-and-after pictures. In the meantime, if there's something you wanted me to see that I've missed, drop me a note. I need all the help I can get! :P

This reminds me so much of my tiny collection, I have a few ancient bottles [empty mind you!] found when digging in the garden ... or from a stroll along the beaches/rocks when they were washed up there. [you guessed it, empty again!] You can usually find 'things', when not looking for them - but here you are, coming across these ones is just a reminder, of what I have hidden somewhere ? anyhow, your image is cool or rather it feels a bit spooky, especially with that doll's head in front there, the mind boggles ;P BB
Really neat play in this image! Real or not, it looks fantastic, and has that wonderful, 'ancient' kinda look about it! That little picture of a child in the forefront is a little creepy looking! Makes for a great scene from a thriller film! Well done!

In a way, this picture gives a sense of of intimacy. The atmosphere, the light, and the touch of old and dusk, plus the colors too. An amazing display, which reflected one thing most to me, and that is: warmth, it's a warm heart, which made this picture, dear Tara. btw, I understand you're working on a new project, something with decoration of a new 'coach bus', or something. I don't know what it is, but anyway, I wish you lots of fun and good luck with everything, also for Bill. :)
Lots of ambiguity: a real capture of the mysteries and overlaps of glass and mirrors. Esp with your deep shadows and harsh lights. And the streak-lines on the glass make for another layer, adding textures almost like brushed-metal. A soft image with harshness---in the deep contrasts between light and dark---and poetry in the age, in the array of shapes, in the beautiful emptiness, and in other ineffables. Just the right tones and shadows, and it feels very intimate. More fine work from you, Tara.
