Do you mean this place burned down because someone made a mistake and left the fireplace burning? looks that way but I'm not sure:great picture!~
an old shack with wooden walls ... weather may have been due to its age! Beautiful shot anyway!
Great capture. Old derelict houses are always a great subject if you can get safe access to them. It's interesting to wonder who lived there and how long ago it was last occupied, must have been many years ago judging by this shot.
I took on a job several years ago and the plaster walls had many cracks. I told the owner that it would be better to remove the plaster and replace with sheet rock. well, there was not one window or door with headers. when a inspector came around for some electrical and or plumbing he seen the lack of headers and told the owner that all would have to have since the walls were exposed. then I had to make headers for every window and door before we could hang drywall. good I was charging by the hour. I had 5-6 men working on the job this capture of yours reminded me of that job and how much debris there was from the old plaster
While it may be nice to have a fire in the fireplace, I don't think it is a good idea to have a mattress right there on the hearth great capture Jock
that not a mattress . it plaster that fall down off the ceiling
Great little fixer upper, lol! Excellent capture, Bernie! Although I think a fire in this fireplace would finish off the building!
What a shame and a waste of living space makes a good subject for a photo though :) Cathy xoxoxo
We love old houses and my wife, Jane, takes pictures of every one she finds... I like this shot!!
Cool shot thru the window. I thought at first you were going to show the inside of a beautiful mansion, with its massive fireplace, but this is a whole lot interesting, Jock. What a mess. Nothing left but to raze the entire structure.
I like it too. Good composition, interesting subject, and lots of nice detail. Excellent shot!
This place has seen better days.
wow nice shot is relly nice old house :D
Nice shot, but I hope that no one was hurt our homeless at this point.
Could you just imagine how much work it would take to fix this up.
Great find. Just think, it was once someone's pride and joy.
very old hous
Makes me glad for what I have. Excellent shot of what years of neglect brings.
love those walls... or what's left ................. great capture!!
Fireplace sure comes in handy sometimes. Aloha
Most interesting to see the building methods revealed.
Cool! A bit iffy to have a fire though, LOL!
It makes you try and picture the people who lived here and whether they were happy or not. I hope they were. A great find Jock.
Very interesting pic
I wonder who lived there?
Nice exploring among the ruins.....
Jock, I think this is an amazing capture of this old structure. Clever idea for the title.
It's a interesting shot Jock, but i do hope the people who lived in this house are oke.
