Description
A wallpaper that needs a full view.
My third and final wallpaper of Mesopotamian Goddesses. Hope you like her; this is my personal favourite of the three. Maybe I am shaking off the dust and rust of not working with poser for so long. I think this one is the most realistic and best ethnic characterization of the three and seeing all of them so close up inspires me yet again to do some fiddling on Ishtar, but I will Ninshubar alone.
If you look carefully at her eyes you will see the tiny reflection of a person. Perhaps a render gift from the Goddess herself thanking me for changing her eyes from brown to these much more vivid and complex gray ones?
I have said this before but it bears repeating:
Ereshkigal, Ruler of the Underworld, is perhaps the most misunderstood and maligned Mesopotamian Goddess. Because of her role as guardian of the dead, we often think of her as being evil. This is not correct. Ereshkigal was a complex Goddess with many faces. While often hot tempered, impetuous and demanding, she was also the one God who was strictly and absolutely law abiding. She was a tough lady with a tough job, but she never wavered from it. So although she was never loved by the masses, Ereshkigal was highly respected as the ultimate upholder of justice; she was the essence of absolute truth.
Ereshkigal was notably strict and uncompromising, but she was also utterly just. Hers was always the final say. When your time came to stand before Ereshkigal you saw reflected in her eyes your ultimate worth as a human being. And for that reason she was much feared; not because Ereshkigal was inherently evil, but because in her eyes you saw the reflection of your own soul ... who you really were. She showed you the ultimate truth and that is totally terrifying for most of us.

Another beautiful pagan wallpaper... thankyou Roxy. :)
Very lovely wallpaper love the information about her the truth of one's soul is always hard to deal with
Excellent character and write up!
No idea how you go about this so kudos for the image. I suspect your creation has a NA / European nose, however, rather than a Mesopotamian one. Yours is nicer... though of course opinions vary :)
Cool and Powerful render,Roxy-sensei!
Excellent work on this lovely Goddess of the Underworld.
Excellent render of her . Love her rich skin tones. Great Character.
Awesome work. Great wallpapers
Fantastic render. Her skin and lips are excellent and yes, her eyes could devour you. Her hair came out great too. One should not fear to have their soul reflected in her eyes, but one should have humility. If one has fear, then they are already doomed. Excellent close up.
Indeed, these just get better and better, Roxy! I have MonitorFusion on my 'puters, so all three of your lovelies will get their turn as my wallpaper changes every hour. She is stunning!
Fantastic work and colors!!!
Perhaps I missed that rust you were shaking off since each in the series looked amazing! ...AND each even better than the previous! Yeah, my favorite of the 3 as well. Outstanding work!
