Description
The clouds started clearing away, and the sunset looked to be a nice one. So I grabbed the Phantom again, and sent her up to about 120 feet according to the altimeter readout on the Ipod. DJI has an app that makes your Ipod or Iphone into a virtual 'cockpit' with all the essential information (altitude, airspeed, distance from takeoff point, number of GPS satellites it can see, battery level, etc.), and a live feed from the copter's camera.
I took several shots of the sunset - for once unobstructed by buildings.
I took the Phantom up twice, and this time, both landings were better than the first one today..

I rolled video on the two sunset flights, and stopped the video to shoot the stills, then started the video again. I'll merge all the video clips together and post them soon on YouTube.

utterly amazing. The world keeps changing. The copter would never work for me, I've just sunk money into camera and lenses.. I was had a ten year old Rebel and wanted to upgrade and kept thinking about what the right way to upgrade would be. I ended up buying a used body 1DS Mark II. (instead of going new technology) Old, but affordable and an incredible sensor! Anyway, fantastic hobby flying the copter. That's a pretty cool shot!
