Description
First: HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE!
Our traveling trio decided to celebrate Christmas on the beach and decorated a shrub they found with sea shells. Before anyone goes off on me, I KNOW the lighting needs work, but after two days of just trying to get the darn thing to render without crashing Poser and letting it run for 13 hours, I am not in the mood to give it another go right now. "Bah Humbug" and a few other choice words accompany this one today, but I like the general idea and still wanted to share it. The Rosemary Grevillea from Xfrog is a fabulously detailed plant model, but it really eats up the computer's little grey cells to render.
I also want to apologize to everyone for being so dreadfully behind in Gallery comments. I had high hopes of catching up but that doesn't seem to be in the stars. Maybe after things slow down here I can take a peek, but working through two weeks of posts is close to a Mission Impossible task. I love seeing all the art, but I'm old and I have to sleep sometime.

Wonderful family scene, very original. =)
Wonderful idea! Love this render! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
superb work :) Have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year
Somehow I can't picture Santa in a swimsuit walking on the beach. :P Nice family render all the same. Merry Christmas!
Actually i thought the yellowish cast was due to it being a bright at the beach. Anyway, nice sentiment and image.
WOW! Thirteen hours rendering time?! Holy crap! I haven't done a render that long in years, LOL. Anyway ... I don't think your lighting looks all that bad. Sure, they are in shadow when there is a lot of light around them but, that's only because they are very conscientious of the need to protect themselves and they have the BIG umbrella there shading them, that's all. ;-) This is a cute scene Teri. Nice job posing the figures and composing the props. This scene makes me wonder why they are celebrating X-mas at the beach instead of home. I wonder what their story is. Well done all the same.
A very home setting, I like it.
I think it looks just fine, Terri! And I could really dig Christmas on the beach - we're getting freezing rain here.....bleah. I'll have to look for that bush - it really is nicely detailed. I know what you mean about stressing the machine's brain cells. I tend to push things to the limit, and so far I've been lucky - only a crash or two now and then.. I really need to get Poser set up on the new system... Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!
Great work!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! :o)
nice Christmas family gathering image
Wonderful image! Merry Christmas!!!
A wonderful family image. Wish I was somewhere like that right now!
Your all little familly and funny stories are under another lighting, you know ? So yes, lets talk about some "sun" and computer capacities using firefly another day, another time. Have a good rest, Happy Holidays to you and yours too, Teri. Cheers.
