Description
Apodemus flavicollis
This mouse is very similar to the Wood or Long-tailed Field mouse, of which I also have many, but has a richer brown coat with a patch forming a collar at the chest.
They are very fond of my fat feeders, and this one got caught in the light when i let the dogs out at bedtime.
Here she is using her tail to hang on, but see her using it to balance Here

Amazing capture Andrea. God bless.
Owl food :) Good that you got this, they are skittish creatures.
WOW! That is so well cought, Andrea. Love it :D
I used to have a little mouse come & eat the birds food, the girls used to stand & watch her, she wasn't a bit bothered :o)
Great captures, not easy to get those shots.. especially at night.
oh wow Andrea, out in the night? what a wonderful shot and i do like so much the clarity oh this eyes! superb!
The only mice I see around here are the Tom and Jerry variety!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both captures are very cool Thanks for the information
Like a rat caught in a trap. Ralphie would make short work of the intruder. Fine capture of the rodent during its night time raid on your fat feeder, whatever that is. Perhaps cheese cake?
this is super cool looking
She is sort of cute and holding on for her life!!! A wonderful night capture my friend!
"If I stay very still maybe no one will notice me." Two superb captures of this little cutie. The eye looks like its made of glass.
Have not seen anything like this at our feeders. Hubby puts out suet for the birds too. Lovely little mouse.
Both photos are nice and their tails are quite useful to them!
This is fantastic and great timing on this.
