Description
These yachts are anchored in the Old Port of Mykonos Town, Cyclade Islands. The one on the left came in during the sunset the previous evening. Three of those yachts are registered at Georgetown, Cayman Islands, the fourth one is registered in Panama.
There is a lot of money invested in those boats, but the good thing is that the sky looks the same for the boat owners as it does for us, the food doesn't taste any better, and the town isn't any more beautiful for them as it is for everyone else.

I have wandered around the Marina near Pireaus and seen yachts like these and also remember on the Island of Poros a large yacht arrive and thought they will see a snippet of the beauty and may not even appreciate it, yet we who linger a while can take it all in :) I agree with you in every way :) A beautiful shot nonetheless :)
Wow, Exellent shot.
Very well said.....but they have better boats than me!
I agree with you...furthermore they will not take better pictures than you either!! :) Thanks for sharing.
@SunriseGirl. Thank you!
Marvelous capture !!!
Beautiful capture!
I would not like to have a yacht so... I suffer from seasickness! ;) Splendid capture! :)
LOL.. you forgot to add 'Super' in front of your title.... I was expecting a couple of masts or two and a few sheets of canvas!!.. certainly very impressive boats to look at, and no doubt great for cruising... but as you point out in your last sentence.....
Gorgeous yachts and shot!!!!!
Gee I cannot see mine as they are large! Excellent shot!
WOW!!!!!
all are impressive, but put them next to an aircraft carrier and see how small they really are. the second from the right has some interesting lines
I agree with you Mike!
Those are some gorgeous looking boats!
While I don't yearn for a yacht, I do love the sea, and this has a certain appeal. My practical side starts thinking about maintenance and staffing issues, but then there's nothing practical about owning a megayacht! I'm with Mike ... that third-from-the-left one looks like somebody flipped it over. So interesting to see these!
To me it is reflective of the coldness that may await the wealthy. The odd one is a reverse bow, more commonly seen as a reverse transom (at the rear). I think they look goofy.
Very good shot !!
The bad guys in James Bond movies have the same. Nice shot.
Wow, fantastic shot and wonderful yachts!!!
I love looking at the boats, but personally wish for something with less staffing issues as auntietk put it. I would love to have a surplus pibber from Nam or a WW2 landing craft. I am toying with the idea of building a stern wheeler houseboat. Say in the twenty foot range.
For poor people, obviously :) :)
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
They are beautiful ships Sig and a great photo!
great shot!
Alone on the few square meters are millions! Amazing photo!
Don't get me started here.. lol Money....the root of all evil and wrong in the world now.. And here it sits, stunning though it looks.. And is more likely! Good shot though Sig. Rob
