Don't remember exactly when & where I took this, but I liked these patterns that appeared in the needles that had fallen from a large tree...

Arlene and I need to get busy with the rakes:) Neat patterns from nature. Hmmmmm, that could make an interesting monthly challenge for the Photography Gallery.
I love the way they've formed patterns and flows, and I'm torn between enjoying the restful nature of the photograph and trying to figure out how they got that way! Pine needles are such a treat for me, since we don't have very many of them at home. This is marvelous!
I have a back yard full of these.
