Description
Last Friday a Low Pressure System moved through Arizona creating a lot of wind. The result was a lot of dust in the air that resulted in the sun being partially obscured.
This picture was taken on 15 November 2013 with my cell phone camera at 17:12 while leaving the Commissary at Luke AFB,

very cool capture Sig!
good shot!!
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
Beautiful shot!
The sand was a natural light filter no doubt. Nice shot Sig.
Shining shot.
beautiful light
what about your car paint? a similar storm in Utah damaged my former Corolla
@Richardphotos. This was just dust in the air Richard. The wind wasn't strong enough to blow sand, at least not in the urban areas where I live. I worry about my paint job when I drive through the dunes on I-8 west of Yuma during strong winds. Then the sand is drifting and one can hear it hitting the car. I have changed my plans in the past when that possibility exsisted. When I first moved to Arizona I saw a car that had been sandblasted by sand - took the paint right of!
Wonderful shot!!!
Beautiful sky effects!
With all that, it still came out great... Aloha
Ominous atmosphere
We didn't get any wind up here to speak of, so I'm delighted to see your picture! Not that I was looking forward to more blowing dust ... we got plenty of that in La Quinta ... but it makes for a nice picture!
It does look very hazy but gave a great chance to shoot into the sun too :)
Marvelous image and fantastic capture !
Awesome capture, ..... just nipped in for few groceries and saw this on the way out!..perfect timing. One thing that amazed me when up there in the northern hemisphere... sunsets are different, even without the dust!!
cool shot. must be bad to breath at this time.
