Description
I'm uncertain of the iD as I didn't look at the gill pattern or colour, examine the stipes or smell it, all of which are important in the decision!
It could be one of the honey fungi or one of the scaly-caps, and I shall post it on Flickr to see if anyone tells me.
I think Mies is right...Honey fungus, the tree killer.

Amazing!
fantastic find, triffids spring to mind, what are they planning
They seem to grow anywhere!!!
The green stones (mosses) I like too, Andrea. About the mushroom, I guess its the Armillaria mellea, just the honey mush.
Beautiful shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
very good!!
Perfect color harmony! I always worry what are the safe ones to eat, or which are poison...
Nice mushrooms shot. Aloha
A superb Autumnal pic what ever they are.
Excellent work my friend. Love the greens in the wall mosses.
AWW!! This is simply perfect, Andrea. A perfect clarity, compo, colors and POV. I love ALL about this shot. ALL !
Very cool capture Andrea. I pick my mushrooms at the store - that way I know I'm safe but still this is a great and unique capture
Fantastic composition I could hang this one on the wall.
So nice with the leaves and the green bricks. Beautiful!
So very nice
A wonderful find and a beautiful shot
Great find and capture Andrea. God bless.
Great shot!!!!!!
Nice capture and I'm sure a surprise, but we have had so much wet weather it is no surprise we are seeing more this year. I think Mies is right about the identity, it looks like Armillaria mellea, if it is then it is edible but needs to be prepared carefully as with many it contains an intestinal irritant and some people can get allergic reactions to these... as some do with all fungi. But I stress you need to be 100% correct with identity before even thinking about eating such mushrooms or any fungi and then obtain the correct preparation methods. I find all the different types fascinating and I have to say I never venture beyond the common mushroom which I like more than it likes me.
Capital color and texture in this one, A. I don't know, they sure look like toasted mini bagels to me. So, besides galls and gulls, you're into gills as well, the three Gs.
A lovely capture against the green moss and white lichen.
I think Alan is on to something. They seem to be clustered in a conspiratorial manner. I don't think they will find much nourishment from that brick wall. Really nice work. I like the color and composition.
WOW! An excellent find!
The rich russet hues look so good with that green backdrop! excellent!
what a wonderful capture, so perfect for autumn. we too seem to have an abundance of fungi .. here and at the Hollow.
Great shot It's amazing where these things pop up.
