Description

This design is an early 22nd century spacecraft that travels between Earth, Venus, and Mars. It is nuclear - fusion powered and used two rotating ring structures to provide artificial gravity for the passengers and crew. The model was built from various “2001: A Space Odyssey” models found on the Internet many years ago. Given the source of the models, it seemed obvious that the vessel should be named “Odyssey.” You can see all 12 images of this project on my hobby website at: http://www.dcmstarships.com.

Excellent model! I know how hard it is to model as I have been doing it since the 90's.

Cool design. Love all the details and the feel of very large scale. Nice, clean rendering.
