Never say never,
She said
I shouldn't have heard that at all
Since it happened in church
And I don't
But it was a special occasion
On two counts
And there I was
Everything was set
I had a terrific plan
Marriage wasn't on the list
But!
Never say never
And it all went out the window
To be replaced by something better
Beyond imagination
To sell the house
Go on the road full time
I'd always said
Never
Travel doesn't interest me
Oh well
Never say never
And here I am
Someplace I've never been before
Which happens almost every day
Change of location
Is no longer a change
These days
It's just what we do
The idea of major change
Used to scare me
Leaping into the unknown
Now it's old hat
Never say never,
I tell you
Life is waiting
Just around the corner
You never know
What you might be missing!
