Gosh, Andrew, what a beautiful elegant machine! So unlike Britsh ones of that era. My Grandmother was born in 1881 and being in a family of boys rode anything available, including penny-farthings....but she would have loved this!

This is a superb 'bone shaker' Andrew.
When new, if made with supple wood, this would not have been a bone-shaker at all.
Yeah the wood is hickory, and look at all that suspension. I reckon it would be a really smooth ride!
So is this the early version of a lightweight racing bike. Looks fantastic mate but i'll stick with my modern one for now :)
