Description
The 'Chrystal Symphony' is a 51,044 ton cruiseship registered in the Bahamas. She was docked at the New Port in Mykonos Town, as were we. The Chrystal Symphony will leave sometime during the day.
The New Port in Mykonos was built to accommodate cruiseships. A pre-paid fare for a shuttlebus got us to our drop off at the Old Port. The shuttle operated every hour all day long past midnight, which allowed us to come and go as we pleased.

That's a great arrangement with the shuttle. Nice to have a bit more freedom from a schedule! The cruise ship, even one of that size, looks out of place and imposing. (It seems to me that it's about half the size of the one you took to Alaska?)
It was Tara. Our ship was only 16,000 tons and because of that it was really nice. You actually got to meet the captain!

A beautiful shot! I am always alarmed and amazed by the size of modern cruise ships. They must keep tons of ballast down in the basement to keep it upright in the water.
