Description
We went to a local (new) zoo yesterday called Lory Park Zoo. I really hate wild animals in cages but apparently all the animals in this zoo are animals that had injuries and after helping them, they couldn't be re-introduced into the wild. I guess I have to believe their story...
Anyway - this is a bird of prey - I'm sure the bird gurus would be able to identify it. (I didn't take a picture of its name like a good photographer should! :))
Thank you for visiting and for your very welcome comments and fav on my last upload!

This guy, possibly some kind of snow owl, is trying to intimidate you in this stellar capture, Carin. It will brook no nonsense.
SUPERB!!!
"We are not amused." :P Superb shot, Dierbaar!
Really wonderful details in this closeup of the mystery bird; or not a mystery, per Ronnie, who usually always knows this stuff! Anyway, his beak from this angle does look owlish; and what gorgeous eyes! Well done, Carin!

Looks sort of evil cute,if that makes sense.
Hey! That's my line! http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2145473&np I have to admit, this is an outstanding image. I think it's the red eyes that make this cutie appear menacing.
A beautiful capture and a very serious facial look!
