Description
Alefkandra or Venice, is a part of Mykonos Town. It is so named because the houses are built right to the waters edge with wooden balconies extending over the water. These houses were built by wealthy businessmen and seacaptains during the 19th century.
The crowds along the waters egde are gathering to watch the setting sun.

A great shot! Looking at this, I am immediately thinking of the maintenance required to keep these houses from sliding into the water and to keep the lower floors water proof. The original builders had balls to do this.
Beautiful shot!
great place
What a shame the cars are there, otherwise a super shot.
Wonderful photo.
Splendid shot!
really beautiful shot!!!!!
beautiful view
During a storm fresh fish must be directly served on their tables
U gave us a beautiful view here.
Wonderful view Great capture
One could fish right out of their windows... Interesting shot. Aloha
Beautiful Mykonos, love it!!!
GREAT CAPTURE AND I like the people plus the cars. Ancient and modern1
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
This is one of the few places where cars could park. most of the town has not enough space for parking and most of the roads are too narrow for cars anyway! A road up along the hill by-passes the actual town!
Shining.

WONDERFUL WORK
beautiful
Fascinating to see this! I always wonder about being that close to the sea, having been raised in a beach house. I would worry about storms and high tides!
great place erland
Wonderful mood and atmosphere with great lighting! Reminds me of the people of Key West Florida who turn out to watch the sunset.
A fantastic shot.. love the houses just across the inlet... crop out the cars in the forground and you have a real winner!
Beautiful, outstanding capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fabulous shot... Very very well done !
A fantastic capture of this view and some ingenious building techniques to create some of those balconies!
