Description
We've lived in our current house for a little over 10 years & though we've seen lots of varied wildlife on our property during that time, we haven't seen any rabbits until a few weeks ago when this fellow started showing up regularly. He just sits on our lawn munching the grass & doesn't seem to mind us watching him, though we make sure we don't get too close.
The original shot was kind of drab, so I ran it through the Glowing Edges filter. That introduced some wild colors, so I did some additional color tweaking to restore some more natural color to it.
Needs a zoom for detail...

Your rabbits are different to ours in the UK in that ours have much smaller ears.

They're fairly rare around here, although I have seen one at the botanical garden. Never in my garden, but my sister gets them in hers 45 miles north of here. This fellow looks quite peaceful and happy there. The filter work makes him look like he's been down the magical rabbithole that Alice fell through!
We have rabbits at our summer campground ... they're everywhere ... but they must be a different sort from yours, because ours have slightly smaller ears. Maybe yours is a jackrabbit? Whatever sort it is, it's certainly a treat to have one hanging around in the yard! :)

I think this is a jackrabbit, which, technically, is a hare, so you're right.

Excellent results from the filter and color adjustments. Dow here in south Florida, we have marsh hares. Smaller than the standard neighborhood bunny and much shorter ears. They caught a 18 foot 2 inch python the other day and people wonder why our wonderful animal population is disappearing. They estimate 150,000 pythons and boas in the Everglades today.
