Description
A little bit of Americana. This is a house in historic Jacksonville, Oregon, complete with shade trees, arbor & white picket fence. Many of the homes & buildings in Jacksonville date from the mid 19th century (yes, I know you Europeans find it amusing that we consider that "old") & there is a charm & innocence to them - they're reminders of a much simpler & slower time.
Full disclosure - the sky is from a different photo I took somewhere else on a different day. I used a different technique than I usually use when I do that & I was very happy with the results. Unfortunately, there's are some color artifacts in the clouds at the top, but that was due to the jpeg compression & wasn't present in the uncompressed version.
