Another type of butterfly for JuliSonne for her very nice comment on one of the previous shots.
This was taken at Stourhead Gardens a couple of weeks ago.

nice shot (if it was mine I would have cropped it)
Beautiful shot!
Very nice Jeff. My only nit is that I wish the focus was on the butterfly and not the flower behind it. I'm being super critical though!!!!!!!!! Great job mate.
Well spotted, i agree with the crop tip.
Great shot!, but I would have rotated it 180.
Gorgeous! ...and definitely worth the ZOOM :)
I wouls have cropped it tighter too. Excellent and so nice to see more of these this year.
nice one Jeff, been a good year for Small Tortoiseshell
Well I like it the way it is and I love tortoiseshell butterflys their colours are so bright
I have to agree with the suggestions above Jeff, and I agree with Juli...You must be a magnet for butterflies or you spend a great deal of time hunting them. I can just see you out there with a net and magnifying glass!
U do a fantastic job of bringing us the different ones we never see here awesome shot.
Aah .... a Small Tortoiseshell. I have also been times gesehen. Therefore, I remember because I determined him wrong and insisted on my right. In hindsight ..... embarrassing! But maybe I love this little guy that very reason. And how nice that you've just selected this little flutter man for me. THANK YOU, Jeff and of course Julie. I find your capture..... beautiful! Juli
What a beautiful and furry little flier! Well done!
beautiful butterfly, beautiful shot
Beautiful Butterfly Jeff.
What a stunning shot this of both the flower and the butty.
I can offer this. Similar to flowers themselves- we want to shoot these critters that are unusual to a passing viewer. Straight down... I generally do not do that in most cases. Still a nice shot... :-)
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
Beautiful shot... SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX NEXT SUNDAY...RAIN AND THUNDER STORM FOR ALL WEEKEND !!! NIGHT GRAND PRIX UNDER THE RAIN....MuMMM WANT TO SEE THIS :)

Hi Jeff, I like your lovely shot and dedi right who it is. It is great to see also more of that beautiful yellow flowers, as the contrasting colors (the orange and yellow) are lifting up each other. I'm also happy, this beauty is for our 'liebes Mädchen': Sonja-Julchen ;-).
