Description
Hi Friends,
Today I discovered something special.
We walked on the heath, and because of the drought some ponds were dry.
I was curious what I might find there.
By chance my eye fell on what you see in the picture.
Excited, I called Karel, "do come see what happens here".
The dragonfly was still moving with his body, but unfortunately he could not escape.
A bit further we saw another dragonfly, this was already deceased.
On the same way it become to breakfast of the Drosera-plants. (also called Sundews)
Thank you very much for your lovely comments on The Highland cattle's.
For If anyone wants to know where these beautiful cows walked, it is in Schinveld.
Please do zoom!

A lovely shot of nature Jacomina but I need to know - did you release it???
A very STICKY end!! What a find, Mies, I haven't seen a sundew for a long time.
Mies, you did a great job on this photo. What a marvelous discovery

EXCELLENT CAPTURE, POOR DRAGONFLY ON A DROSERA
fabulous shot
Wonderful capture Mies very lovely flower, though I think the dragonfly would disagree with me
really, if you don't look full sized , you are missing a lot.
happy those plants do not get big to eat us. cool shot
That's certainly something I never heard about, a very hungry plant!
example ... a very well illustrated, that all is not so simple in this world ... flowers survive transport pollen of certain insects, and other equally beautiful plants attract insects ... to 'devour', and in feed! > Excellent close-up! Many greetings from Nantes to you both! Good weekend.
An exceptional capture, dear Jacomina! Great details and colours! :)
Dit is pure Schoonheid.
beautiful capture!
Oh dear, such beauty and such cruelty all a part of Nature. An amazing and detailed shot Mies. The dragonfly surely would not have survived even if you were very gentle with it.
Mein Gott, ich weiß gar nicht, was ich zuerst bewundern möchte. Diese schöne Pflanze die mich an eine brennende Wunderkerze erinnert oder diese prächtige Libelle. Du hast ein feines Auge, Minchen.
Poor dragonfly but that is nature. Very nice capture Jacomina.
The Drosera plant is so delicate and beautiful but alas I suspect that it is carnivorous and that dragonfly is lunch? WOW!!!
Very nice capture and colors
