Both colour and mono work in their own original ways, the joy of shooting in colour is that you can make it monochrome and the subject takes on a different effect. Linda McCartney often worked that way, I love her photographs of Willem De Kooning Here

a beautiful searching portrait, with gentleness and a touch of yearning. I've done lots of street shots (random shots), but haven't posted any; but seeing yours encourages me to keep doing it, because you do them simply and beautifully. (I posted 3 last night, btw, but one of the people in them said they were uncomfortable being shown in a gallery---I knew her---so I took them down out of respect. She may change her mind soon, though.) Beautiful detail on Keith's beard and hair, and such gentle contrast to his kind smile and upward-leaning stare. Like he's dreaming or seeking something 'out there'. And such a sensitive capture of his soul. Beautiful simple work, and another touching portrait in your long series of delicate peerings into a random human being...
