Description

Done in 'honor' of the Perseid Meteor showers going on in a night sky near you right now! While Bela is fond of star-gazing himself, it was actually Nikolai's idea to go up on the roof and watch for them. The city lights make it hard to see, unless they drop down low in the sky. A small group comes through whizzing overhead, making the watch worth while. "I used to see a lot of them, when I would stay in the summer at my grandmother's house," Nikolai said. "I hate all the pollution of the lights here." This was different, Bela thought to himself. Nikolai had never mentioned his grandmother before. "Where was that...your grandmother's house?" "Southern Siberia. She was Evenki...." He could see Bela's brow furl. "The Reindeer People...Tungus people. Is where I get these eyes," he laughed softly. "They are some of the indigenous people of Siberia - not many left. The mother of my mother. They are superstitious about everything. Everything must be done in a certain way. It make me crazy, but they were good people. Very in touch with the nature and animals. That part I like." "My grandmother was superstitious too - everything." Bela shook his head. "Is funny, you know?" "What?" "We are from completely different places, but I think many things about our lives were similar. Maybe this is why above all, you and I understand each other." Nikolai shrugged. "Could be." He looked to the sky again. "Is a big world my friend. I do not doubt there is a reason we meet." ***** Thank you for dropping by my dear friends! I'm happy to say SRG_Nikolai is now @ YURDigital and the Glam Hair colors for Dawn should be there tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. Have a totally cool Tuesday and keep smilin'! Ray PS: I have five figures in the works besides Nikolai and the Dawn stuff which is now out of the way. Two of them need to be out by the end of this month. I spent five hours on that tattoo as it was. I spent another 4-5 hours today on one that I scraped. Like in real life, it takes a long time to make a tat from scratch...hours I don't have any more. I thank you for your confidence in my ability to do one...but if I didn't need to sleep, maybe I'd have time ;)*

I went out to see. Can't. Moon is rising & even though its only half, its bright as heck! & Yellow. And the base is doing something weird & there is a huge assed light in the sky opposite the moon. Sigh... How about sending the guys over to my place to tell me about it? ;}~

Marvelous render! My husband and I set up chairs behind one of the greenhouses Sunday night, as far away from the security lights on our place and the neighbors as we could get. We got to see a few meteors but being old, gave up just before midnight. He got up around 5 am and went out on the porch and saw more in his 7 minute smoke than we did in the two hours we were out the night before. Unfortunately last night it was cloudy and we couldn't see the sky at all. Get some sleep. You can always do an "add-on" set of tattoo textures for the characters later. Don't kill yourself over this.

Too much cloud cover here last night to see it... damn. Although I doubt with the village lights we could have seen it anyway. Excellent scene hon. These fellas look great and you really captured the expressions excellently.

Another awesome work, Ray! Your dudes really are unique and superbly done! I may have to pop over and grab Nikolai - I really need to do more work with the guys..... I mean, it's fun having this huge harem of beautiful ladies, but dang - they're wearing me out... snicker Well, it was cloudy here the last few days, so I didn't see the Perseids... We did get to see the Space Station go right over the house again, last week.. LOL @ Angel..... They must be testing those UFOs again...
