Description
Rhagonycha fulva on Tanacetum vulgare on the water meadows by the river Stour, Northbourne.
I know the composition should have the beetle elswhere, but I like the context more than the insect!

Great dof here with the trees in the background!
A nice capture and a great zoom.
The beetle looks confused. Nice find on beautiful flowers. Aloha
Zoom is a must Great picture!!!!!!
Marvelous close up !
He must think he's in heaven with all that tansy to feast on!
Wow hon this is very cool i like this shot i do like capturing bugs but when i had one that flew on my face i try to stay further back now lol scared the crap out me.
a terrific perspective
OH WOW! One of my fav wild flowers. Oh yes, the beetle is also very nice ;)
Like mine the other day, it is unusual to see these alone, they don't call them the bonking beetle for nothing :) Nothing wrong with the compo in my opinion. Like the POV Andrea.
Very nice capture Andrea.
So lovely.
Fantastic colours, details and DOF. A superb shot!
Nice composition with that bug
beautiful capture, nice bug and colors
Fine scene. This beetle is called præstebille (priest beetle) in Danish. I think it is funny that local (nick-) names like this can be so different. The English name should be its resemblance to an old soldier uniform's colour and the Danish name probably to a priest's colourful vestments. Whatever the name they are very common in Denmark.
I think this is a great shot
wonderful shot
Great in zoom mode. Nice color contrast. It posed very nicely for you.
I think you have captured it spot on and it works so well, you have the beetle there and you have captured the flora too.
The contrast and light source creates an image of magnificent mood and atmosphere. Well done. And I never knew there was such a thing as Soviet army beetles.
Marvelous capture, Andrea; I love the focus and the composition, and if the beetle wouldn't cooperate then tough beans, as they say!
I zoomed - liked the red beetle - loved the textures of the yellow Tansy. An exceptional photo!
Love the POV, great shot.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Zoom is amazing, great capture!!
