Description
Going into the cafe.
I have always known these as Strangalia maculata, but they have recently changed their name! They are evidently now Rutpela maculata,
I took four photos of this handsome person: see the others Here

Amazing capture Andrea. God bless.
This is a lovely shot even showing up the minute flies!
A lovely set of pictures. Did it finish eating or did it not like the menu? You really should send some of these off to a publication like National Geographic. They really are that good.
Wow. Amazing photo!
This is really handsome, wonderful capture Andrea.
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a handsome fella!!
My bindweed is going mad this year and I haven't seen any of these to make up for It, Nice shot.
The intrepid beetle enters the enticing bowels of the pretty bloom. Clear and sharp beyond the basic meaning of the words, Andrea.
lovely
None of my six pots contain bindweed ... a fact I enjoy every day! LOL! The critter is spectacular, though, and I liked all four shots. My favorite was the head-on shot when he's coming out of the flower. Outstanding series!
beautiful !
Quite a chunky fellow! He looks more fearsome coming out of the flower.
Really great capture
Magnificent and perfect shot.
Very nice capture
Excellent shot Andrea!!!
Excellent shot of this nice bug :-) and the flower.
Beautiful capture Andrea.
Am trying to scale this in my head - about an inch long? Great find.
Wow! He's quite large! We don't have anything like that here; your garden is a place of wonders
A fantastic capture Andrea and I also liked the photo on FlickR!
beautiful beetle/flower shot!
Really awesome capture :)
A handsome beetle whatever he calls himself! Those back legs, holding on tell a tale! Drunk on nectar and fallen in before!
