Capitol Reef National Park, Utah.
The Wingate Sandstone cliffs (top) crack and break with rain and ice, expansion and contraction. See the blocks of rock littering the lower slopes? Everything in this landscape started out a little higher up.

All of us of a certain age can sympathize with the Wingate Sandstone cliffs. We all started out a little higher up but age tends to break us down. Wonderful dramatic sky and erosion detail.

Yep, I sympathise wholeheartedly--all of my bits are starting to obey the law of gravity and crumbling on the way down! But what a beautiful scene you've captured here, the lines and textures of the rock are fascinating.
