Description
This village is just 5-10 minutes away by car. The village where my father grew up and where my grandparents lived all their married life together and got 7 kids. My grandfather was Harbour Master and Customs Officer and my grandmother was turning on the Lantern on the the end of the pier every evening and turning it off every morning. :)
Have a beautiful day. We still have this wonderful summer weather. Tomorrow we will maybe have rain, but the warm will stay. I guess it will be very humid then..one of the days will be about 30C = 86F and rainy. That combination is rare here.

Amazing capture Helle. God bless.
a very interesting story, Helle!
Helle, This is a truly marvelous capture of this quaint little village. Thank you so much for sharing it with us as well as your family history from this area. I personally feel it adds so much more to the picture when I know the memories and story behind it.
I expect your grandparents would be surprised at the fibreglass boats! This is such a pretty place.

Very nice scene!
Very nice panorama.
Beautiful composition. excellent work
A lovely village panorama with just the right amount of boats around, to go sailing or fishing ;) I even noticed a few German flags amongst the others ... You certainly come from a big family and it sounds great to me, to hear about your ancestry. BB
This is lovely! Wonderful!
So interesting to think about the generations, and the jobs. This looks like such a lovely town! I grew up in a beach town, and it's very comforting to see this.
an ideal place to grow up...lovely shot!
