Description
Another bird from the Bloedel Conservatory, sitting on & eating a sliced orange. I had a brochure identifying many of the birds there, but I can't seem to find it. I think this may be some kind of grosbeak, but I'm not really sure - can anyone identify it?

The only thing I would actually be able to identify here, is beauty... and I'm looking right at it! I've never seen any species of birds eating citrus fruits! That's so interesting and most sweet looking, quite literally too :) Fantastic composition and neat subject! Curious to learn more about these guys...
Beats me ... I don't know much about birds. It's a beautiful thing, though, and if I were that color I'd sit around on an orange all day, too! :)

It is a great photo and I don't like to say what it isn't unless I know what it is. Grosbeaks have shorter and more powerful beaks. I am thinking maybe an Oriole or a Warbler because of the longer thinner beak. Please keep in mind that sometimes domed enclosures import colorful foreign birds that locals are not used to seeing!
