Description
As the intense gamma rays sweep across Earth, those unlucky enough to be looking skyward are blinded by the intense light caused by the gamma rays interacting with the ionosphere. The ionosphere being deionized is no longer able to protect the Earth from the Sun’s deadly UV rays. Within months those organisms not sheltered from the UV rays die. With the death of all plant life on the surface, the Earth becomes a massive dust bowl. The Earth’s winds whip the dust into the troposphere blocking the Sun’s light. A nuclear winter ensues. Those organisms not killed outright by the intense UV rays now die from a massive ice age.
Talk about the next extinction event!

dark future. beautiful images
Artwork is graphic, to the point and very good. The events described are quite possible. Story is great. Rick
Let us prepare !!!!Great images !!!!!!!!
stunning work
Excellent work on the images and probably a very accurate description of how the next great extinction will occur. Brilliant work.
Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”,on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him... a telling image, a portent of things to come ... good work!
I'm thinking you just described my backyard. :P An excellent story and illustration to go with it. Enthralled.
