Description
There was a long, awkward silence as he stood before the one called '7'. No one here seemed threatening, in spite of the fact that every single one of them he'd seen so far was apparently some kind of hominid/creature hybrid. He wondered if that was the norm for this place or if these 'persons' were something unique. Being the betting man that he was, he would put money on the later, due to what 19 had said back at his point of entry here: "You will soon learn what that means and why we look as we do," regarding being a Shadow Walker.
While 19 looked to be some sort of serpent or lizard hybrid, 7 appeared to be a feline hybrid of sorts...except for his hands and forearms at least...those appeared to be covered in a metal skin. It seemed quite pliable, but the seams were very evident. He doubted the claws were as pliable. No doubt 7 could rip your face off, if he took a mind to do so.
7 looked him up and down thoroughly through narrowed cat-like eyes, then stared at his face. Finally, he spoke - aloud. "Like you, we do better in low light or no light, so excuse the lack. There are many tales that float around about you. It would seem they are all true. They say you have many lives and none can slay you."
"Many have tried," he answered, "and many have failed. I'd like to know why I'm here, who you all are and why. I was told I'd get some answers."
"In time...in time." 7 indicated he should sit at the table across from him. "Will you stay 19, or would you go?"
19 took a seat at the table. 7 turned and spoke to someone in the shadows in a strangely lilting and gutteral tongue. "We are not inhospitable. Food and drink come soon, and I shall answer your questions. Then, and only then will I ask a few of you."

So, now shall begin the tale of Aman'tala and the Three Factions that vie for control of this strange world.

I assume that those are your own textures for the Shadow Walkers? They are superb and I would recommend them to be on the market. I like the minimalist yet dramatic lighting. As for the story, one is certainly drawn in and I wonder if He is destined to become a Shadow Walker himself or what task could he do that they possibly could not?
