Description
I have mentioned before that I am a sucker for this species of dragonfly.
That is because they are the most common species at my pond and because they perch often.
They are also not as skittish as many other species and they are very colorful.

Well your colours are great and your focus is pin sharp. What a beautiful creature, and I love it's scientific name! Just as an aside. I didn't know they could bite, until one landed on my arm once. When I tried to move it to the end of my finger it took a chunk out of me!
Nice shot! Yes, I too have been bitten and he got away with a big chunk of me, but I guess I have plenty to spare.
