Description
Weather has been brutal here lately. Finally was able to get out for a few hours before the rains and thunderstorms interupted my shoot.

Superb capture my friend. God bless.
Perfect focus on this handsome bird; I've never seen one like this. What a beautiful eye he has! I wonder can he see through all the duckweed, or does he just look for miniscule movement to show him where dinner is hiding?
what a beautiful bird and quality photo. the details are perfect focus
Fantastic shot!!
I have set and observed these birds or I should say bird cause they are usually alone and they are fun to watch they are so focused on their prey. Nice work
Such intent watching! A perfect study.

I've just been shooting some Nankine Night Herons! I love their signature stoop! Great shot.
That is a great shot! I like that question too, how do they hunt through the duckweed?
