Peace be unto you and your family, Rod! losing your Uncle and your Dad in such a short time has got to be very hard. I cannot imagine the pain and heartbreak you & Jo are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Jo. I wish I could say and/or do more to ease your burden, but you know what you must do. I look forward to your return, refreshed and at peace within. I hear ya dude. I'm actually taking off a few days myself next week. I get so little vacation I have to pair with the weekends to try to feel like I've had some time off. Be well in sorting through your family affairs and I wish you health through your shi(f)t work :) You'll be missed, but see you soon. Oh yeah! What beach are the ladies at, maybe I can go visit them ;)

I can completely understand. Losing your father and uncle so close together would be incredibly tough. And if you've got the business end of that to deal with on top of a shitty shift. Seems like a good time to be gone from here. Seems so many people in our group have stopped posting and comments are way down. Takes away the fun and I think that kind of apathy just builds and builds. Not the site it used to be that's for sure. I will miss you as one of the few who supported me, always, but I am always with you wherever you go.

hey bro i completely agree with you when the batteries are down you got to do what a man has to do (lol),myself i had a bit a break,and i stayed away. when i cannot comment with the heart on others works then i better stay away,always want to show my respect.but when you feel detached as i did its hard better a break do what you have to and come back fresh and strut.(you old fart).

LOL...I think mrestey is right Rod. You can take a break, but NOT leave for good! We love your work too much. I may not always comment on your pictures, but I enjoy them to no end!!!! I understand how much you have been coping with, with the passing of family members AND your work changing your hours. That really...well, if I may be so bold, that really SUCKS!!! I know working with police officers who have been changed on shifts that it wreaks havoc on you...let alone family issues! We're here for you buddy!!!
