Description
So we were driving along on the Saturday morning game drive In Thornybush when suddenly this beautiful male lion appeared out of nowhere. The Canadian Partner who was with us did utter quite a few four letter words! :) The ranger told us that this guy left his pride to go fight off a lone male who was trying to seduce his ladies. He was quite thin but in good condition. He proceeded walking in the road infront of us for a long time and stopped ever so often to mark his territory by spraying urine on trees and bushes. I tell you - seeing these beasts in the wild gives you a thrill that very few other things can match!
Thank you for popping in and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "Wazz-up you? - Birthday wishes."

Awesome capture!!
I can imagine the immense thrill and privilege of seeing this magnificent lion in the wild. A wonderful shot and story, too.
Superb capture Carin. God bless.
What an impressive animal!!!
Excellent shot!
I think he looks in good condition. What a thrill this would have been. xx
How Marvellous!
what a boy! cool done, action in this!
We do not see something here on the road, maybe even a wild boar, but not lion. Superb shot.
WOW! He is such a beauty. Must have been a great experience :)
Very exciting and a wonder he didn't give you camera shake!!!
I bet you looked like a big can of cat food!
his expression says, 'When I catch that razzin' frackin' upstart male, I'll show him who's king of this jungle! bloody upstart!' Great capture
awesome creature!
Beautiful !
I can't imagine your feelings!
Wow, quite awesome and beautiful!!!
Wow great shot
I would LOVE to see this; wow!!! What a beautiful beast he is. Excellent capture!
Such an impressing shot, Carin. And how dangerous his look! Recently I was in a safari park, and saw the male mating with the female. Afterward, the female was terribly angry at 'the culprit', I believe that is a normal behavior in these animals.
Gives me a chill just to think of seeing this guy in person!! What a great trip you must have had!
SUPERB! Some may have seen the title and expected Elvis though hehe.
Fantastic shot!
An amazing thrill and capture!
