Description
You've maybe heard it often... "not produced in sufficient numbers to change the outcome of the war..." While the designers were busy looking for the "edge," what was being produced in large numbers was the familar Nakajima Ki-43. The airframe changed little in the course of production so as I mentioned before I've created a generic Ki-43 fuselage to which I can parent different engine cowlings in Poser. These a still just objs and have been exported preassembled from Shade. The original Mark I is shown here, plus one type of Mark II, and the Mark III. The model fuselage has a "cut-out" at the front to accomodate the exhaust of the Mk I - this pit has a surface that can be rendered invisible or invisible, depending on the Mark being represented.

It looks very detailed. Great work.
Stunning model, I love reaching this stage.....before it's textured and put in an image, it looks like the model it is without the pretense of photo-realism. A great feeling to know it looks 'right' without all the fancy paintwork and props.Excellent work mate, I look forward to you breathing life into it......10/10++
