Description
Rachel's family got some bad news last week. Their blond Lab has cancer and there is nothing that can be done but keep her comfortable. Chris brought her home so the kids could get to say goodbye and get used to the idea. He will take her back to the Vet soon to have her put to sleep. Sean has started sitting with Dixie and feeding her one piece of dog food at a time so she can "get big and strong" again. It is breaking Chris's heart.

Poor Dixie. You captured the love and sadness the family must feel beautifully. It is sad that her days have passed.
On June 21, 2013 (my birthday) we had to have my 19 year old cat put down. I've had a lot of pets over the years, but she was very special. This is a very poignant image.
Sad story, but good to see. Reminds me of when I had to put my dog to sleep when I was a child. Great work.
