Description
A couple of friends of mine asked me if I'd do an image of H.P. Lovecraft's Naughty Lady of Shady Realms for their site...better known as "Shub-Niggurath ~ The She-Goat of a Thousand Young". So, this is what I came up with, and they are quite delighted with her. They are the only ones who have permission to use or post her elsewhere on line - besides me.
I tend to see her in cosmic terms, and she reminds me of Kali-Ma as well. Kali-Ma is the female personification of Great Time, who gives birth to and devours all things. Thus, she looks like she does.
She is morphed and rendered in Poser. Everything else is done in PShop.

Wow girl. I've said it before, you are a great storyteller, but when you cut loose on your demon personifications you are absolutely a train wreck of power. I love the way you have faded her out but your bright and vibrant colors shriek of the power of the beast. She is utterly mystical. I am just sitting here speachless as I cannot think of the proper words to describe this work.

Huge HP fan here and I always love to see peoples conceptions of his creatures/deities. This is really brilliant. The mix of parts and the fact it is not fully solid and the whole cosmic surroundings is excellen. I've seen very few images of this particular HP Old One, but this is one of the best and certainly the most unique. A combination of literal and figurative! Again, brilliant.
