Description
Late in the morning of December 10th, 1941, the first of the squadrons operating out of occupied French Indochina, eight Mitsubishi G3M bombers, closed upon the British Royal Navy's Force Z, which was vainly attempting to deter the invasion of Malaya. The bombers concentrated their 250kg bombs on the venerable HMS Repulse... There were seven near misses and just one hit which passed through the Walrus hangar before exploding below decks, with few casualties. But more bombers would soon arrive.

Nicely done. Need to be lower on a bomb run to hit the destroyer.
I assume they missed mostly because they were bombing in formation from high altitude... The photos taken of the results, shows a tight V of perhaps 7 splashes plus one smoke pall. that seems to have been taken from quite an altitude anyway.... At this stage the pilots may not have realised how degraded the Princes troubled AA systems were
No.... HMS Repulse was a Battlecruiser not a Destroyer, a tad bigger than a Destroyer.. History if you read, showed that while the guns were watching the skies they were not watching the wave tops and failed to see the torpedo bombers until almost too late... Both Battleships were suck.. A huge lose.. A stupid mistake.. Fighter cover failed to meet them, the list goes on.... Great work once more! Rob

AT Pearl Harbor the battle ships were sitting still. Here they were maneuvering at flank speed. Still the results were the same. No air cover = blub blub.
