Description
Families enjoying a pleasant afternoon in Collioure. The large building in the background is the Chateau Royal, which was originally built around the 7th century & added on to & expanded many times since then - including by the Knights Templar in the 13th & 14th centuries. Legend has it that the Knights brought the Holy Grail here at one time...

Somehow I can wrap my brain around millions of years of geology more easily than I can imagine a 7th century building that's still there. I really must get to Europe "where the history is," as Eddie Izzard says. Exposure and education will undoubtedly cure the lack.
