Description
With such an awesome vista I had to try my fisheye - but this lens is funny and you are never sure about the results until you see the full image – happily I think this one turned out.
The view is looking west towards the entrance to the Yosemite Valley, Cathedral Rocks and El Capitan are flanking the entrance and on the extreme right is Yosemite Falls. In the foreground are the cliffs of the southern valley wall.
This image has an illustrative look caused by the blend method I used in Photomatix (it’s called Exposure Fusion). I haven’t used it before and wanted to try it out. I’ll just say it's different - Hope you like the results!

Gorgeous and I think the illustrative look works well with this image. It blends elements rather nicely. I happen to enjoy photographs that cross borders and look like other forms of visual art. I also like other forms of visual art that emulate photographs. Ah...crossing genre borders! What fun. And what a fun image! It's rich in details and colors and rather a healthy dollop of excitement. This is brilliant work.

Hi 0rest4wicked, this photo was taken near Taft Point which is south of the Glacier Point lookout. The view is looking west – The Mountain called Clouds Rest is not be visible but would to the east. Thanks for your interest!
