Description
Dipsacus fullonum
On Iford meadows, a reclaimed tip in Bournemouth. They look wonderful here, but I HATE them in my garden.
I once foolishly planted some in the hope of attracting Goldfinches: no show from the birds, but masses of scratches and rashes from the plants which I can't seem to eradicate.

I agree - they do look very pretty - especially if you do not have to deal with them on a personal level! :)

Teasels like measles!! Nice shot Andrea.
Not good for the dogs coats :o(
AWW! yes, that was a mistake Andrea, but the dry ones are really pretty for Christmas, sprayed with gold, but we need leather gloves to touch them :) And this shot is very lovely.
Loving the light captured
FANTASTIC IMAGE!
Oh yes, I remember these. They can do some serious damage. Nice picture though.
Love that kind of backlight :)
Some of the best laid plans...
They look great here with the sun behind them! I'm not much on the sharp things...
Wow what a bunch you got there great find and pic Hugs Susan~
It could be worse you could have introduced a pair of lovely fluffy bunnies.
Scratches and rashes aside - a beautiful photo.
