Description
WhoooDeeDoo! Well Paint ME Green and Call me Gumby!!!
I thought I had put this out here a long time ago! A co-worker browsed my gallery and said, "Why didn't you put this one on Renderosity?" I said, "I did, last year." Says he, "Well, it Ain't there!" He was right. It t'aint. Tis now.
One day, while fiddling around with VUE, trying to see what I couldn't do with it, I imported a flying saucer and rendered it. HOLY MOLY! What a difference in the renders. Works well with objects, props, etc, but not so well with characters coming from Poser. For some reason the hair always ends up backwards hiding the face. Trying to use the posing tools in VUE....it looks like they flung a wig off in the distance. I'll keep trying (my wife tells me I'm stubborn that way).
The Piper is from VUE's web site, and the saucer is from a saucer bundle I've had for years now (just started using them).
Image story: "Somewhere over central Iowa a lone Piper Cherokee 6 lazily flies out of Waterloo to overfly Eldora on the way to Chicago. When suddenly, a silver streak heads right for him. Is it a missile, NO! A DadGum alien texting while driving!!! BREAK LEFT!!! The alien looks up just in time to break left as well."

Is it wrong to have a lot of fun with this? I do it for fun. If I tried to do it for a living, I'd stress out (again). lol Luvs Y'all. Bill
Superbly done!
Excellent image, love the point of view and the commentary
Marvelous image! If it ain't fun why do it? That's the only reason I play with this stuff.
Really cool work and POV.
Nice image, love the world below, looks great. I would add a few (thin) clouds to create even more distance between the what's up in the air and on the ground.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions (I honestly didn't think about clouds). Great idea (and noted for future reference). :o)
