Description
This image could use a few more bracketed frames but while capturing the first three shots I heard some crashing and looked up to see a Black Bear moving towards me. We both froze for a moment – actually I froze and the Bear stopped to sniff the air. When I started to straighten the Bear ran back into the trees but I could see him on a log looking my way - he was probably heading for the creek and wanted me to move. I wasn’t going to make him ask twice - time to pack-up and move on!

Wise move getting out of there - a picture may be worth a thousand words, but it's not worth getting mauled by a bear. Nice forest scene, & I especially like the sun peeking through the branches & casting those long shadows...
