ok he shows up with her...she is the lesser blue of the 2. the males are usually the most colourful in most species of birds... thanks for your remarks and I did build the house and put the designs on it. first I carved them and then I used a wood burner over the carving, but i'm finding its easier to just burn the wood and skip the carving part... happy times... ***chills and thrills***

Another nice shot and making birdhouses is quite an art. I love the burned on design; I'd love to see more of your wood work. The bird is such a nice splash of color. I like a good splash of color, but as I'm at Corey's (visiting on my delayed weekend) the only "nice" splash of color would be from the pigeons who have decided to roost above the back porch. But I digress. This is a great photo! More is always welcome.

Very nice! It can be difficult to build a bird-house that they will actually use, it's great to see that you not only do that, but you're able to decorate them as well. Lovely shot of the birds, too!
