Great capture
I love birdhouses. Of course I love birds, and find it unusual that urban birds generally shun birdhouses in favor of...well...strange spaces that would strike me (a non-bird) as not particularly bird-friendly. I once found a birdhouse occupied by bats, but unfortunately, they only stayed there for one year and were rather noisy tenants. Yep...bats are louder and more rambunctious than one would think. This image made me think of that, and it would be fantastic if that bird and its mate actually did move in and raise a nice brood there. This is a great shot. Did you make the birdhouse yourself?
I think he's gonna be very happy in the new digs. Great shot and a very cool birdhouse.
i see a deep friendship on the horizon.
Cool shot with interesting textures. And the symbols carved (painted?) on the birdhouse add a nice touch of fantasy & whimsy to it...
Hope he makes it a home! I've built a bunch of Mountain Bluebird nest boxes but I am still waiting to hear that one is being used by a bluebird. I put the boxes up at a friend's acreage and she was cleaning them out to get ready for our spring nesting which has not started here yet, and she found a nest of squirrels inside one!
Beautiful capture and beautiful bird !
