Description
As seen from one of the many viewpoints we stopped at today while driving through Utah's fabulous Canyonlands National Park.
We are at an elevation of 6240 feet (1902m) above sea level. The white rim rock in the lower right corner of this image is at an elevation of 5000 feet and the Colorado River flowing through the image's lowest area is at an elevation of 4000 feet. Hat's off to the power of erosion!

Yes, awesome in full view. Great job of capturing the depth of the landscape. I see three distinct layers, not sedimentary ones, but rather focal depth layers. The swing of the rim leads you subtely but firmly into the frame.

ZOOM IS A MUST HERE! That is a fine shot Bill and the detail is superb. Was that taken with that Tamron f2.8 again? The detail throughout the entire photo cannot be beat.
